THE GOAL

The goal of this page is to provide sports teams, both inside and outside of schools, with the tools necessary to create a healthy space for their athletes. Throughout this website, you will see a historical and contemporary analysis of how marginalized identities and sports culture interact. These findings are used to develop tips and tricks for coaches and athletic practitioners more broadly.

 

However, in order to create a safer sports space more broadly, communities need to evaluate how they perceive and approach different athletes, too.

Throughout this site, I challenge you to keep an open mind and confront your own biases, in the way I did. Everyone deserves to enjoy the fulfillment that can be found in sports!
